Anxiety Treatment Group

Category: Central Anxiety Treatment Group

April 29, 2024

This group is for adults (ages 18+) who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety. This 10 week group draws upon Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to understand and treat symptoms of anxiety. This group explores the connection between our thoughts, feelings and behaviours and addresses each component of this interaction with skills and tools that are helpful in supporting recovery. It also looks at triggers and causes of anxiety and how to address these factors. This group is for people who are actively seeking to engage in the recovery process, and are willing to try to practice the skills taught in the group setting.

The Anxiety Treatment Group will be offered on Mondays starting April 15, 2024 (11 weeks as there is a holiday in the this span) and will be held at 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm island time (12:30 pm – 3:00 pm Labrador).
