In Newfoundland and Labrador, primary health care is typically a person’s first point of contact with the health care system. It includes a range of community-based services essential to maintaining and improving health and well-being throughout an individual’s entire lifespan.

If you have primary health care concerns, please contact your primary care provider (i.e. Family Doctor or Nurse Practitioner). If you don’t have a primary care provider, please register with Patient Connect NL here .  If you do not have access to online registration, please call 1-833-913-4679. Video Relay Service (VRS) calls are welcome. The information provided on Patient Connect NL will be used to plan and improve access to primary health care in Newfoundland and Labrador, with the goal of connecting individuals to a primary care provider as soon as one becomes available in their chosen area.
