The OCD Treatment Group is an 8-session group for adults (age 18+) who are experiencing symptoms of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). A formal diagnosis is not required; however, participants must be referred by a clinician who has knowledge of OCD and believes OCD is likely present.
This group will help participants gain a better understanding of OCD, including addressing common myths and misunderstandings around OCD. Group participants will also have the opportunity to learn and practice foundational skills such as:
- Mindfulness
- Self-compassion
- Values-based living
- Distress tolerance, and
- Thought defusion
These skills provide a strong base for managing OCD symptoms and can prepare participants for more specialized exposure and response prevention (ERP) work.
