This group is for adults (18 and older) who want to learn more about ADHD and ways to manage its symptoms. You will learn what ADHD is, how it can affect daily life, and simple strategies that may help.
Week 1: What is ADHD?
- Learn about the different types of ADHD.
- Find out how ADHD is diagnosed and treated.
- Talk about healthy routines that can help, including sleep, healthy eating, exercise, and managing stress.
Week 2: When Everything Feels Too Much
- Learn how ADHD can affect emotions and the way you react to sounds, sights, and other sensory experiences.
- Practice strategies to help manage big feelings and sensory challenges.
Week 3: Trouble Focusing and Getting Started
- Learn about common ADHD challenges, such as paying attention, getting stuck in hyperfocus, starting tasks, and staying motivated.
- Explore simple tips and tools that may help with these challenges.
By the end of the group, you will have a better understanding of ADHD and practical ideas you can try in your everyday life.
This group will be offered on Thursdays starting September 17, 2026 to October 1, 2026 and will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 pm island time (5:30 – 7:30 pm in Labrad0r).
