This group is for adults (ages 18+) who are experiencing difficulty in managing intense emotions, difficulties in their relationships, and overall struggles in day-to-day life. Over the course of this 12 week group participants will have the opportunity to learn and practice the skills of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), which has been shown to be effective in addressing many mental health issues. This group is a safe space for all to connect and gain tools to improve their mental health.

DBT focuses on four areas of skill teaching (1) Mindfulness (2) Distress Tolerance (3) Emotion Regulation and (4) Interpersonal Effectiveness. To know more about these skill areas, or more about DBT overall, this video is a great one to watch.

These skills help people become more effective in managing their lives, and to enrich the quality of their life.

Participants in this group will be required to do weekly practice, and regular attendance is required.
