Nunatsiavut Trauma and Addictions Team
Provides community-based intergenerational trauma and addiction programs within Nunatsiavut drawing upon clinical best practices and cultural/traditional knowledge for individual, family, and group therapy and healing. Services incorporate culturally-appropriate holistic wellness approaches, including expressive arts, psychodrama, meditation, land-based and cultural activities, Elders and Knowledge Holders into the Trauma and Addictions Healing Program.

Opioid Dependence Treatment Hub – Labrador-Grenfell Zone
The Opioid Dependence Treatment (ODT) Hubs help with concerns related to opioid use or wanting help to reduce physical, mental and emotional withdrawal symptoms.
The Hubs offer rapid access to medication-assisted treatment (Suboxone and Methadone), as well as:
- Withdrawal support
- Counselling
- Peer support
- Links to resources
- Take-home naloxone kits, and other safe use supplies.
In-person, telephone and telehealth service is available throughout the region. A referral isn’t required.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm local time
Note for providers: The hubs are also available to support community-based physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists and counsellors who have patients who use substances.
