This group is for adults (ages 18+) who are experiencing symptoms of depression. This 10 week group draws upon Cognit ive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)\, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)\, an d Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to understand and treat symptoms of depression. This group explores the connection between our thoughts\, feel ings and behaviours\, and addresses each component of this interaction wit h skills and tools that are helpful in supporting recovery. It also looks at triggers and causes of depression and how to address these factors. Thi s group is for people who are actively seeking to engage in the recovery p rocess\, and are willing to try to practice the skills taught in the group setting.
\nThe Depression Treatment Group will be offered on Tuesda y’s – starting January 21st – March 26th (10 weeks) from 1:30 pm -4: 00 island time (1:00 pm -3:30 Labrador).
